  • Alice Stricklin, LMFT

    FOUNDER

Alice is not accepting new clients.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (TN LMFT #824) who practices in the Middle Tennessee area.  Born and raised in Nashville, TN I left home to earn a BS in Psychology and Sociology, a Masters in Public Health, and then later returned home to earn my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have spent over 10 years studying and working within the psychology and sociology fields.

My experience is in working with women, men, children, and families.  I approach therapy with a systems outlook working with individuals, couples, and families through a systemic process.

My focus in my work has centered around complex trauma, single incident traumas, Grief, complex grief, childhood abuse, attachment wounds, relationship dynamics, marital and family therapies.   In my work with trauma victims, I have used several forms of therapy from play therapy, CBT, TF-CBT, mindfulness, and EMDR Therapy.

Out of all these forms of therapy EMDR Therapy has become the main model of therapy I use for trauma, anxiety, panic disorders, and depression.  I not only provide EMDR therapy for my clients, I also am able to provide consultation and basic training for therapists using or interested in using EMDR Therapy.

I have worked in a faith based non-profit organization for eight (8 ) years and during that time, have learned to integrate the theoretical models of systems therapy and EMDR therapy with the Christian faith for those clients who are seeking support in this area.  I also respect the spirituality of all individuals and do not push my values on anyone.  All are welcome here.  I am an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and offer EMDRIA approved trainings in EMDR Therapy. I am a full member of EMDRIA, a Clinical Fellow and full member of AAMFT, and a member of TN-AMFT.

Alice is not currently accepting new clients. If you are a clinician and wanting training or consultation, please email asccscheduling@gmail.com.
